Traditional Haversack Distressed with Painted Folk Art motif
Here is a new haversack style/forage bag I handmade, “inspired” by the late 18th and early 19th century hunting/shooting accoutrements and decorated with a hand painted distressed tulip and heart folk art design. The body of the bag is made from a heavy weight ticking fabric dyed with walnut hulls and fully lined with a double interior pocket. All hand-stitching done with natural linen and hemp beeswaxed thread.
The bag measures 14x15 with a 54” ticking and jute strap. The flap is secured with 3 pewter button in hand stitched button holes.
