I have only ever used glass bedding in my competition rifles, but it's not allowed for international compdtetion. Any advice on how to animal hide glue bed?
I'm going to move this to the builders section. I think though that you would want a keratin glue made from horns and hooves, rather than a hide glue which will not do as well with heat and moisture. I think the keratin glue would closer mimic the properties of epoxy, but more experienced minds, those of builders, will have better suggestions.

Open to all suggestions. Right now I have an unbedded original Springfield. Trying to eek out all the advantage I can with it.
