Does anyone here have the book that the fur trade museum in Chadron published a few years back? I've been thinking about building one for a bit now and would like some good color photo's of some rifles. I've been to the museum several years back but didn't take any photo's of the guns. So I'm wondering how you like the book and if it's worth getting for building purposes.

Not looking for trade guns but trade rifles. Thanks for answering. I have their book on gun tools and edged weapons and really wasn't impressed with the photo's but it had lots of information on the items.

the Hansen book is an excellent reference. You might find one at one of the larger museums that sell books. I got mine at Bent's Fort in Colorado. They had the entire set at that time.
