TOTW sure knows how to ensure a cleaning rod doesn't get trashed in shipment. Good job.

I live near them, and can walk into the showroom when it's open.
They used to have a barrel filled with long thin scrap pieces that their stock suppliers use to ship pre-cut stocks to them for just a couple bucks each.
Maple and Walnut.
Some of the stuff had some really nice curl to it and could be used for knife scabs and other small projects. Sadly they stopped offering them, when asked, they just say they found another use for the stuff,, ☹
