Tower lock

Purchased this lock last fall. It was on a table with a bunch of other ones. Thought it was a modern reproduction until i found the crown stamp on the back side.
No half cock.

Not sure what it came from. Looks like a pistol lock about the size of a small siler

What is the length of the lock plate? What is the height of the lockplate.

This kind of lock was known as "Extra Flat" according to Bailey.

It might be a pistol lock, but it also might be a carbine lock and even a rifle lock; it all depends on the lock plate dimensions.

Lock is 5 3/8 long by just shy of 1 inch tall. Cock is 1 1/2 tall from pivot screw to surface of the bottom jaw
