Has anyone tried this rear peep sight from Track of the Wolf? Looks like a great idea, it will take a bit of hand work to fit the dovetail, but it has to be better than the Buckhorn sight on my Hawken. I can shoot really nice groups with my Merit Iris, but not really suitable for hunting.

I'm not interested in drilling and tapping the tang or barrel, want to keep this rifle as close to original as possible.

Thanks,

Frosty

I found that the hole in that sight is way too small for me as it is located up on the barrel away from the tang. I have taken a washer for a #10 screw and glued it to the back of the buck horn sight. The hole is much bigger, and I can see thru it better.

I've found that a full buckhorn rear sight acts like a peepsight (peephorn ?), with it's large "aperture".

HI Pietro.

If the sight picture was a clear as the attached image it would not be a problem. I'm looking for something a little crisper, but thanks for your input.
