Ok I'm starting on a flint lock. I know where the touch hole should be but where the threads on the liner will be in corresponding to breech face. Looks like every what the diameter of the liner is the half that distance in front if the breechplug face is where the hole needs drilled and tapped. Far as vertical I will put it at the sunset position. So am I correct on distance infront if BP face?

If the barrel has a straight tang, and is straight sided you can inlet the barrel slightly rearward to mine the breech face back enough to accommodate the touch hole liner ( so it lines up center of the pan)
Or, you can do this to the breech face.
