Toledo Arms 12ga barrel to fit Renegade or 54cal TC Hawken. Excellent condition. Appears to be unfired. Bore shiny as a new nickle. Had to hit the hook a few strokes with a file to fit my Renegade tang. Modified choke.

Put a Kick-eez Magnum recoil pad on your Renegade to tame the recoil, and that barrel should be a show stopper. I don't know if you can get away with shooting a patched ball out of it, the barrel wall thickness at 0.1355" might be a little thin, even for a smoothbore.

Anybody know what type of steel that the barrel is made from? If it was certified gun barrel steel, and European proofed, then patched ball loads are probably safe to shoot.

EDIT:
Forget what I said about shooting a patched ball, the barrel has a modified choke. That's what happens when you get old, and don't pay full attention to the OP.

I have zero clue how you took what I said to be negative. In what way are the words show stopper as a description of the barrel negative.

I was trying to show the barrel's possible versatility by being able to shoot a patched ball, as well as bird shot.

If that's offensive, then I apologise.

Besides the fact it didn't need your comments, implying that if buyer didn't put a 'magnum' kickeze pad on it that it'd tear his shoulder off, yes I take it as a negative and unnecessary comment.
