I picked up a TC in 36 when I was in Yuma, Az couple months ago that doesn't say Seneca or Cherokee on it

The early Cherokee's & Seneca's were not marked on the barrel with the model name.

Among other things, the Cherokee didn't have a factory-installed patch box (like a Seneca has), and had 24" bbl's, as compared to the Seneca's 27" bbl.
