SOLD. This is an older Tim Bender hat that belonged to a friend, it has been worn twice and is in great shape. Low crown beehive with a two inch brim. The lining is green silk, leather sweatband, neither are soiled. Photo evidence would suggest this simple hat was one of the most popular for civil war era men. Thousands would have accomplished the soldiers who were in regiments that allowed civilian headgear, (that would include most of the US army in the western theater), and virtually all the Confederate army.
The only downside to this hat is the size. It is a 7 7/8 - 8. If you are one of those guys with big brains, and can’t find a hat to fit, this one is for you.
The price is $75 shipped.
