As an apprentice gun builder, this rifle was used to hone skills of inletting, stock shaping, and browning. Stock has a lot of wood removed. Cheek piece is now concave. Comb reduced. Top of barrel channel forestock rounded over. Belly removed. Wrist reduced. Toeplate added. Inlay on cheek piece and side plate. Barrel and lock browned. Replaced ramrod. Repairs to the wrist visible in the photo. Faux "Leman style" striping. Asking $500 plus $40 for shipping.
