Well, it’s done. The build thread had gotten so long I thought it best to post the photos in a new one. Overall I’m pleased. Now I’ve got to cast some RBs and try her out

Here’s a few more photos and I want to thank @Comfortably_Numb for the great plate engraving and @Rob M. for his generous help.

Forgot to mention that she weighed in at 6 lbs 2 oz. Still not sure if I’m in love with such a shiny finish. Normally I would have aged the brass some, but I thought that would look more out of place with the stock finish. I won’t make any changes now, but if the shine doesn’t grow on me I’ll scuff it up and wax it.

I understand where you're coming from, but as you use it it will take on it's own character. I'm sure it will grow on you.

Leave it shiny! It's a true beauty and makes me jealous. There now!

Your both right, she will stay as is for now. If I use it as much as I hope too she’ll get scuffed up enough on her own.

Looks good, I like the finish on the barrel. If you dont want that shine on the stock, once it fully cures you could rub it back with some rottenstone mixed on a denim or felt pad with some BLO. That would get you more of a satin finish instead of shiny.
