TEXAS FREE TRAPPERS RENDEZVOUS XXVI

FEBRUARY 10-14, 2017

(On a 200 acre site near Shiner, Texas)

Featuring the best shootin’ walks around, we’ve been told plus Traditional Shooting Matches, Knife & Hawk Throw, and Archery All shooting will be out of the pouch, using traditional weapons (no revolvers) with open metal sights and patched round balls.

Period camping ”“ separate modern camping area is available, but no hookups Bring water Firewood is available for gathering Period dress is required for all competitors and campers Prospective and beginner buckskinners are welcome and don’t be bashful if your gear isn’t perfect yet. We can help you!

THURSDAY

Gate opens at 1:00 PM for early camp and target setup. Your help will be appreciated.

FRIDAY AND SATURDAY

Rifle walk Pistol & Smoothbore Walks if enough interest Rifle Match

Pistol Match Knife & Hawk Match Archery Match with bonus points for all natural materials Get acquainted campfire and possible Candle Shoot on Friday night.

SATURDAY EVENING

Potluck Dinner - bring a main dish, vegetable, or desert and take part in the feast

and fellowship Council fire, awards, news, and announcements Period tales welcome

May be a round robin trading session if enough of you have “priceless” items you’ll part with for another’s treasure.

SUNDAY

How about having a Two Bit entry “challenge” rifle and pistol matches?

Break camp and cleanup site before heading home.

WSCB Family Dues - $15 for the year Competition Fee including Camping - $15

Camping Only Fee - $10 per lodge No additional fee for traders; however, all goods must support the period Each competitive event will have its own winners. Number of prizes will be based on the number of competitors. Prizes will be cash. Please donate blanket prizes for alternatives. $2 re-entry fee for each competition.
