I just joined up here n following your Renegade troubles n shooting. I have a Renegade in a bad .54 cal thumper. I have round balls in .490, i also have the 300 gr REAL bullet. I also have Harvester red sabots n half dz. diff .45 cal bullets for them. I have only had mine for couple of weeks n bad weather has kept me from getting outside to start with mine. I will start with 50 gr load in both the 2F n 3F

My early .54 Renegade shoots great with .530 patched round balls, and it even shoots better with .54 Great Plains bullets but I can’t find them anymore.

I've mostly shot the TC Maxi-Balls I cast. I just started shooting RB in my .54. I buy Hornady balls at Sportsmans (until I get to casting when it warms up a bit!).
