TC Cherokee forend brass nosecap.

Purchased this TC Cherokee .32 caliber rifle few months ago. Just recently I noticed that Cherokee's I see pics of do not have a brass forend cap. This cap is sheet brass and pinned to forend with brass pins. Barrel off wood looks normal. Did TC offer the Cherokee with the brass cap or is this someone's custom touch? Looks very factory to me or was installed by someone who knew what they where doing. Opinions please!

That's a custom add on. Never came from the factory that way. The Seneca had brass, but much shorter and fitted.
