I have shot the Lee 58 cal REAL but not in a Big Bore. I shot them in a Zouave and a H&R unmentionable. They shot fine for me over 60 grains of whatever I brought with me. Not tack drivers but accurate enough to stay in the black at fifty yards and for a good kill shot. I have had success with the REAL bullets in 45 and 50 calibers also. Lee also makes a flat nose minie that I have read is very accurate but I have never shot one.

ok thanks, rb has always got the job done
A friend of mine used 450 grain bullets in his Big Boar for awhale. I don't know what powder charge he used, but that gun sure did kick. I observed him shoot that gun & load at the range and his flinches were comical. Later that day we noticed that the stock had cracked at the tang bolt. Too much powder?
