Hi folks, I am joining a Pirate re enactment/ living History group ,which has me looking for some golden age period pistols,, I do not have a budget for the top shelf folks and looking at all options., Thanks

Welcome to the Forum!

I don't know much about piracy, or the reenactment thereof. What was the timeframe of the Golden Age? Generally speaking, how serious are pirate reenactors with regard to authenticity? I guess it would be helpful to know if any flintlock pistol will do, or if you really need to find one correct for your chosen time and place.

There is also a sub-forum on this board that may be of interest to you. Here is a link: Early Colonial Wars, Musketeers, and Pirates

Maybe post your question there in addition to the Handguns section.

Best of luck to you!

largely thought to be 1650 - 1730, , this group is fairly particular with edge weapons so I gather the same holds true. Thanks
