Just keep in mind it is illegal to take election signs that do not belong to you. At least during the period allowed to retrieve signs after an election. 5 days in my area. After that I doubt anyone cares.
And some of them are galvinized. Zinc fumes ain't good fer ye.

I think they make much better target stands than metal for forging... but I'm not an expert.
