Well not LA (lower alabama) but im in the same state. Marion county, lil town called Hackleburg or whats left of it after 4-27-11

They sell it in 5lb. lots. By the time you take your time, burn a half a tank of gas, and buy lunch to go get it locally, the total cost will be more than the shipping and hazmat fee. You could already have it at your house and be shooting it.

Looking for a place to buy black powder in north Alabama

The closest place I know of is the Outdoor World/ Bass Pro Shop in Nashville .

It’s not on the shelf , you have too ask for it at the gun sales counter.

It’s best too talk with a Manager, not all salespeople are created equal!

Too my understanding it’s stored in such a manner that only certain employees have access to it.

The last I bought over there(2 yrs ago) was $22.00 a pound...

I ordered 4 lbs of goex from Powder Valley online. $10 hazmat, plus reg shipping. Came out to a little over $22 a pound. Worth it to arrive at my door, IMO.
