Song of Hiawatha

Just stumbled across this movie on the Roku. A little far fetched and odd but still a pretty good flick. If you are hung up on total historical correctness, it may not be for you. For instance, pay no attention to how low Michael Rooker's haversack hangs. Just for kinda cheesy but scenic entertainment I found it enjoyable.

Man what a blast from the past!
My mother made me learn that poem when i was about 5.
all i remember of it now is "By the shore of Gitche Gumee,By the shining Big-Sea-Water"
of course Longfellow had just written it!
