For sale:

A fresh off the bench Kibler SMR!

Made from an exhibition grade, custom cut piece out of the mountains of Pennsylvania; even my wife, who lacks interests in rifles, to say it’s the curliest stock she have ever seen!

A 44” swamped, .40 Caliber barrel offers a slim and well-balanced rifle. Weighs in right around 7lbs. Double triggers for all you target shooters and hunters!

Please feel free to ask any questions or send me a PM. I am always willing to speak on the phone, so don’t be shy.

$1900 OBO Shipped and insured. Comes to you in a wooden crate. Open to reasonable offers.

More pictures upon request.

Edit reflects new price now. Sorry, draft didn’t save before

I’m looking for a rifle for my two great granddaughters to share until I can find one for each. They’re both small for their ages, 11 and 13. But VERY strong! They’re gymnasts since the age of 5 and compete at the state and regional level. (So far) would a rifle like this be manageable for a person of such small stature?

Woodenbow, the main problem with your young ladies will probably be length of pull, etc. I have a friend who built a .40 flint long rifle with a straight 3/4" ATF barrel and it is so light it's wand like. A swamped barrel is seemingly always much lighter, and I bet the girls will love it.

So this rifle is recently sold..

That being said. A Kibler SMR .45 cal weighs in at 6 lbs 10 ounces. It’s very light and agile.

I would think that your great granddaughters should be able to handle that!

Give me a PM if you want to chat more.

Best,
Allen

Thank you Alan. I need to find someone who builds rifles like this so I can put kids and rifles together for trial fitting.

Give me a PM if you would like to chat--if you are looking for a custom rifle, the prices are going to be about 2x as high, if not more.

A Kibler SMR has a LOP of 13.5" and should suit smaller shooters. As a wise old builder once told me, "A lot of shooters can shoot a 13.5" LOP, but not everybody can shoot 12" or 14" LOP."

Like I said, more than happy to chat with you! :)
