Just received my new SlixShot cones for my Uberti 1860 Army. Here’s some pics for pure fun. I’ll report on their effectiveness when I get a chance to shoot.
I must say with the Goons’s Gun Works modifications and these new nipples I feel like I have a first rate top notch cap and ball revolver! Very effen excited and proud.

I put slick shots on both by 1860 and 1851 revolvers and haven't noticed any significant difference in the function of either revolver. I'm not discarding the original nipples but I'm leaving the slick shots on at this time.

I have heard folks swear by them, but not swear at them.
Along with the Slixshots cleaning sharp edges in the hammer "safety" slot or just JB Weld it shut will also help. A couple of my Colts have them and cap jams in the hammer channel are a rarity. Cap jams from fragments wedging under the cylinder happen occasionally.
