A local coffee shop offers a discount if you are a Vet. A discount if you have on a NRA or GOA hat. A discount if you come armed, open carry or concealed carry.

I'm going to meet a couple local muzzleloader guys for the first time. Decide I'll go in my full Mountain Man Regalia including my long rifle (dressed like you see in my avatar picture).

The guys aren't there yet so I go up to the counter to order a cup of coffee. The 20-something girl working behind the counter is looking concerned. After taking my order and looking at my long rifle she says "Sir, you'll have to put that in a holster."

Not being phased by anything the 20-somethings say today- most can't even sign their names cause they aren't taught writing in school anymore- I ask her why I should do that. She says a week ago a couple of guys were in the coffee shop and had their guns out and in their hands. A cop came in and threatened them with "brandishing a weapon" if they didn't put their guns in their holsters. Since then she and the other employees had been told to tell customers who had guns out that they needed to be in a holster.

I told her I left my holster in my truck. She suggested I go get it. I said thanks but I'd deal with the cops if they came in, grabbed my coffee and took a seat.
