Silver Mounted Bowie

Here's one I just finished.This knife was inspired by the Corrigan Bowie, one of three knives attributed to James Black. James Black was an Arkansas Bladesmith and silversmith that made knives for Jim Bowie and his brother Rezin. He is believed to be the originator of the coffin handle Bowie. I believe this to be a good example of a knife that Bowie would have carried.
All furniture is Nickel Silver, handle is Black Ebony OAL 11 inches.
`I need to thank LRB, I reached out to Wick for some guidance on building the sheath for this knife. Wick generously shared a lot of his time walking me through building this rather difficult silver throated sheath and I sincerely appreciate it. Thanks for looking

Dan has been researching and building knives for 30 years. Every year he learned more and, near as I can tell, has forgotten nothing. His knives are among my most prized possessions. Every bit as fine as a British bespoke gun or custom bamboo rod.
Perhaps the best part of Dan is his intellectual curiosity. Pique it and he is off and running to research and think. I think I have found another challenge for him.
