Someone here has mentioned a tool that will move a sight in/out of the dovetail without hammering on it with a punch. Can anyone tell me what the device is called and where to find one?

I know that uniquek sells a spring loaded tool. You pull back against the spring and let it go.

'afternoon,

I don't remember what make mine is, but the screw type are typically called sight presses. Mine's a universal one, and will lock the slide or barrel in place and has different size tips for the actual press, to fit different styles and cuts of the sight to be moved.

A quick internet search didn't show the one I have, and most of them are labeled as pistol. The more universal ones will work on pretty much anything that can be clamped into them and stabilized.

Good luck,
Mike
