We were on the outer banks of N.C. the other week took a day trip over to Maneto a small town across the bridge from south nags head, there was a Rum distillery there called Kill Devil that made rum. Bought a few bottles and a bottle of concentrate for making shrub, it is a apple spice flavor you mix it in portions with their clear rum and soda water very tasty over ice. If interested they have a web site just type in Kill Devil Hills rum. Also there are 3 types of rum a clear a pecan flavored and a gold all are top notch. Small batch distillery.

That concentrate sounds more like what I know as Apple Pie. No doubt it is very tasty.

There are a number of threads on the Forum about Shrub. Well worth while checking them out.

There are many recipes for shrub too. Some are non alcoholic. I prefer lemon shrub. OOH, I have some in the refrigerator that I made at the start of the Corona Virus Lockdown. Its ready for a taste.
