Matt often "high grades" the wood and one can get better than one ordered. Here's my "poor boy" SMR .32. I ordered it with PLAIN maple but I don't call this "plain".

About 7-8 years ago saw Matt and the gang advertising a really interesting batch of wood but they made me buy a rifle to get a stick

I don't really know what this grain is called, but I just refer to it as "flame grain".
