Shortening percussion caps?

Has anyone taken a few CCI #11's and filed a little off the length with a Jeweler's File to get them to fit on something like a Treso nipple?

Just a thought because I have a bunch of #11's that "just" fit on my Dragoon's Treso nipples, to the point most of them will pop. It needs Rem #10's to pop every time. It seems like removing a hair off the #11's will work .

Seems labor intensive but I only need a handful at a time for a range trip, vs using my precious stash of 10's

I have shortened some in experimentation by using a sharp curved scissor, like a nail scissor. It does help the caps go further onto the nipple.
