Picked this up some time back and it was advertised as a Police Model. Obviously it isn't and I can't find it on any websites. It's an 1861 Navy, .36 caliber, half-fluted cylinder with a short 5.5" bbl with a date code BF. It's exactly the same size as my 1860 Sheriff's model .44, made by Pietta. So, is it an 1861 with a short bbl or an 1860 Sheriff in .36 caliber.

I don't remember the exact name for this Pietta Navy variation but it is a fantasy 61 Navy that had a name similar to Police Model, not to be confused with the .36 Pocket Police.
 
Here is another fantasy revolver. I once picked up this .44 cal. revolver that was sold as the Pietta 1851 New Yank Sheriff at a gun show. I humorously call it my Deputy model. 😄

I actually like those, they just look neat. I don't get hung up on HC Correctness with Italian repops, these are made for plinking and having fun with
