Today I was invited to join a great mentor/coach in introducing a new guy and his grown son to shooting a flintlock rifle. In addition to hands-on how-to, the father and son went home with gun, accessories, and everything needed to shoot and clean. Looking forward to shooting with all these guys again.

jealousy thy name is Cyndi

Every time I try and interest someone younger in traditional shooting I get a load of comments and questions about modern guns. I don't know squat about them things except how to put the bullets in and shoot.
They just want mass firepower and lots of shots in a row. Patience isn't in the younger crowd much, never was really.

So good job getting them shooting proper.

Rich, what you did is sooooo important to the future of this hobby and sport so good job! Cyndi, tell those folks that question you about modern stuff that someone that learns to shoot a flintlock well will be able to shoot anything modern like a professional marksman! I am 67 years old and have been shooting my whole life and I own just about every modern thing you care to mention but, I enjoy shooting my muzzleloaders and especially flintlocks more than anything else.
