Consider, too, a completed rifle; it's almost like a kit. To make it look its' best, you will need to slim down the stock, closer fit parts, and refinish it with the stain of your choice.
The Trade Rifle is available in flint or percussion & .50 or .54. I'd consider the .54 cal over the .50

Get it in .54. This will make it lighter. I have a GP in .50 and it's heavy.
