Thinning out some of my lifelong accumulation of edged weapons, and thought they might be able to find a new good home with one of you wonderful people.

34.5” single-edged blade
about 43” overall length in scabbard
steel scabbard with two rings for sword belt
brass basket hilt, pommel and tassel ring
leather liner
twisted-wire-wrapped leather grip
silk tassel

I obtained this sword at a highland gathering in Kentucky about 35 years ago. It could be a great addition to your gear, or would look great hanging over the mantle.

$85.00 shipped to your door in lower 48.

Thanks for looking!

Is this sword what they call battle ready or is it a faux sword mostlyfor decoration?
I have not banged this particular sword against another, but the blade is pointy, has a temper, and if you put a sharper edge on it, I would say it would do some damage. I wouldn’t call it “decorative only.”

The blade is almost a quarter-inch thick. It’s 13/64” between 3/16” and 1/4“ or 5.36mm
