As per usual, Wick, your craftsmanship is inspiring.
I have had mixed results with vinegaroon, with my first batch giving me a wonderful black, and the last one more of a gray. I suspect the cause is the iron I used being this and that.
Chuck, the black tea pre-treat makes a lot of sense. Cannot wait to try it.
 
wick, amazing work as always.. I used your center seam technique to make a dragoon pistol bucket . you are truly a craftsman and a teacher..thank you for always sharing...
