Keep in mind that an OUNCE of lead weighs 437.5 grains. That means that .54 cal. RB weighs slightly more than 1/2 OUNCE! That is a lot of weight hitting any game animal in N. America, and accounts for the deep and often complete penetration of deer family members, with the ball expanding to over 65 caliber before it exits!
 
The 100 pack of 530 balls I have from Hornady weigh either 230 or 231 grs, I weighed them all.
 
But understand that the weight could vary depending on the lead and alloy composition of the ball. If there is a lot of tin or other light materials, in the mix, then the ball will be light even if there is no bubble inside.
