There are some original examples shown on page 97 of the 'Collector's Illustrated Encyclopedia of the American Revolution'.
I think mine, made by a friend, looks a lot like #4.
Not detracting from this knife, it is beautiful.
 
Refreshing to see it done correctly. James that is an excellent example. That is one of my favorites you've produced. :hatsoff:
 
James that is a beauty. I love the bone and have always thought it was the premire materail for knife handles. :thumbsup: :thumbsup:
