Just got off the phone with this gentleman. I did not know that he worked for the late Val Forgett of Navy Arms for a dozen years before Val helped him set up his own company. He spoke very fondly of him and the museum-like atmosphere at the old Navy Arms. He also knew another great friend of our hobby, the late Dick Trenk.
I consider Val Forgett and Turner Kirkland two of the giants of modern muzzleloading.

Richard is also a past member of the U.S. International Muzzle Loading Team and I can say from personal experience, he was very helpful to the Team.

Richard is my "go to guy" for unusual or really hard to get parts for Pedersoli guns. When NO ONE else has the part or can get it, Richard often can get the part.

Bill you are extremely kind to say so. Thank you.

Not wanting to go too off topic for this sub forum, allow me to say I have related some of the stories in this forum in other threads, when it was apropos to that thread. Since folks like you enjoy that, I will continue to do so.

I bought a pair of Pedersoli Charles Moore pistols (flint and percussion) and they each shoot exactly one (1) foot high at 25 yards.

I sent an e-mail to Richard about the problem. Mr. Pedersosli happened to be in the country and Richard saw him the next day.

I had new replacement sights in a very short time.

I order from Flintlocks Etc. when I need things.

He is definitely your go-to guy when it comes to pedersoli guns and parts. Be prepared that if your order is less than $100 he will make you send a check. He will not take a Credit Card. When he gets the check and it clears he will send the part. Do NOT be in a hurry lol. He’s helped me out several times with hard to find parts and is very interesting to talk with.

I ordered a replacement barrel from him years ago. I can't say I was pleased with his customer service. He may be the best source for the parts he can provide, but having a monopoly on those parts is not excuse to be rude and cross.
I've avoided dealing with him since.
