Hello, everyone,
I am new to the forum. I know virtually nothing about flintlock firearms, but I recently bought one for what seemed like a good bargain. I have absolutely no idea about (1) who made it, (2) where it was made, or (3) when it was made. It's a .47 caliber half-octagonal, 10.5" barrel with no markings that I can see. Someone nailed a scrimshaw plate to the butt. Aside from the frizzen being a little loose, it seems functional.

Does anyone have any ideas about how to answer these 3 questions? Many thanks in advance for sharing your wisdom.
