Hello, this is my first posting on these boards and I would first like to comment on how interesting much of the material is, I
 
The size cannon you describe would actually be closer to a 3 pounder. It is impossible to say what it is worth without seeing the tube and determing how it was made and how safe it would be to fire. New reproductions of that size tube run from a couple of thousand to about $3500 from Cannons Ltd.
