Replacement Lock For CVA?

Is there a drop in replacement lock for a CVA Mountain rilfe?
I love my rifle but the lock leaves little to be desired.

Get a hard copy of Track of the Wolf’s catalog. They have full scale pix of the locks they sell and you might be able to match your lock up to one that you can make work.

I think L&R is the only game in town for replacement locks.

L&R replacement locks would be the place to look for the replacement for the CVA lock. Probably the CVA large lock. Check your dimensions. Call L&R to verify if their lock will replace the CVA Mountain Rifle Lock.

L&R’s website says their large CVA lock has an oversized lockplate and small inner works so it can be fitted to a variety of CVA guns.

The mountain rifle uses the small lock. I have two mountain rifles and just checked them. I'm considering replacing my flintlock with the L&R.
