High water from the Mississippi River is encroaching on the Fort and the decision was made to cancel the 49th Rendezvous.

Sad that many of us will miss the event this year. We will have to wait until the November Woods Walk.

I hate to hear it was cancelled, however given the circumstances it's understandable. On May 11th, wife and I went to the Lewis and Clark State Historic Site near Alton, IL for a rendezvous. We crossed the river from Missouri to Illinois and seen some flood damage, one poor fellows brick house was up to the middle of the windows with several out buildings under water as well. I feel for those folks effected by the flooding.

Just checked the flood levels. Even though the Mississippi river is flooding, the Meramec river by our range is well below flood stage. I can still get my black powder fix on June 2.
