I plan on browning a barrel using Birchwood Casey's Plum Brown. What is the take on removing the sights? They are both dovetailed in. Would just like a few suggestions on the sights, not the browning solution. It's what I have in abundance for some reason. Thank you in advance.

I would remove both sights & brown the rear one separately. You won't be able to stop the rusting in the dovetails if you leave them in, which will cause you problems down the road. It will also make it harder to card the barrel with the sights in.
