Hey guys i got a question. I'm new to cap and ball revolvers and got a remington 44 1858 and a Starr army DA 44 1856.
What i noticed is the chambers in starr revolver get smaller and smaller the deeper down in chamber you get. For example a round bullet that's 457 rolls in easily and stops half the way since the chambers get smaller. Is it same in remington revolvers? Does the chamber get smaller the deeper down the bullet gets? Because that would explain alot to me since i got problem getting some of bullets in deeper.
I can't measure and check myself atm since the chambers are loaded atm.
Guess this shouldn't be in "firearm identification" sorry guys i'm new here
