SOLD REDUCED "Customized" .50 Springfield Hawken

This .50 Springfield Hawken has been customized, making it the perfect gun to hang on the wall over a young shooter's bed, slightly lighted at night, to keep them interested. Wood is in overall good condition. Barrel has some finish loss. Bore has some minor pitting, but shoots well. The stock has some creative carving that is "eye catching." $250 Shipped, OBO.

I would think so. My wife is 5' 110lbs with some strength issues in her hands and she had no trouble at all. Spring feels pretty light, but busts every cap.

Dunno. But years ago I sanded out the most horrible carving that was all over a Spanish rolling block stock. Maybe sand it down and put a patchbox over remains? What? You don't like the googly eyed cat?

Looks like stock was carved and refinished to make it in relief. If chiseled and sanded off, there would be a concave area under shooter cheek. Maybe fashion a cheekpiece to cover?

Thatd be more work than the piece justifies to me anyway. Otherwise you have it priced right, and Im sure it’d been sold except for the cat. Wheres all those cat lovers when you need one?
