SOLD Reduced .45 Plains Rifle CHEAP

Last Call before parting out. I have been working to rehabilitate - within my meager skills - this.45 plains style rifle with 35" GR Douglas barrel marked MADE FOR GOLDEN AGE ARMS. Bore is shiny and lands seem to have some vestiges of maching marks. Grooves are clean. Has no hook breech. Breech plug tang stamped MADE IN ITALY. The lock was made by H.W. Robbins, pkacing this gun in the 70s or early 80s. The double set triggers are stamped. W. WEIMER. I can find nothing on Weimer. Set to cock system. All high quality parts. The nice Walnut stock had been cracked through the lock area and glued back together. Some glue held very well, while other cracks reopened. I cleaned everything up, drilled some holes for better penetration and clamped. Then I drilled some holes across the crack and glued steel pins in. Have given it the basic stress test and all seems well. Even if the stock decides to give up the ghost, the parts are worth more than asking price. Missing tang screw, (just a wood screw, now replaced with incorrect style) one barrel wedge and one small barrel wedge escutcheon screw. $250 + Shipping.

Each crack that is visible has been Gorilla Glued. I just didn't sand everything down clean.

Update: Took this rifle out and fired 4 rounds of High Plains bullets over 60 gr FFG. Did not shoot for accuracy, just a stress test. None of the glued areas show any indication of separation. Tang has a place holder Phillips Head screw holding it. Some surface glue, followed by light sanding and oiling will further mute the crack seams.
