As long as the powers that be allow 18 to 30 to run rampant, protest , commit crime unpunished , pay them to not work and treat every fantasy of theirs like it's Einstein speaking from the grave they will continue to vote to keep them in power.

If you have friends or family in free states that you visit, there is no reason to ever buy ammo or guns in NY unless you absolutely have too.
Straw buying out of State could land you in hot water. NJ has already prohibited online ammo purchases. They were going to make going out of State to purchase Ammo an Illegal Act. Dont know if they succeeded in passing it though. In N.C. buying a BB Gun requires displaying you DL in some Places. Could not order Holy Black online when I lived there.SM

Anybody seen a reasonably priced hard case long enough to hold a long rifle?
Granted I needed a hard case that could lock and also survive ((hopefully???) airline transportation, but the ONLY case I found long enough for a longrfile for my trip to Anticosti Island, Quebec, as from Crazy Crow and it co$t me almost $300!

Accepting long rifles up to 69" overall inside ... they are now $359 ... GULP!

... I've never seen a reasonably priced hard case long enough to hold a long musket or longrifle ...

Long story short, these laws made life more difficult for firearm owners in NYS, while, in my opinion, providing very little substance that will prevent gun violence.
Which is precisely their plan. We should keep in mind that nothing the Dems do is valid on its face. There is always an ulterior motive cloaked as something else. They do not want to address crime because it serves to increase public anti gun fervor and provide justification to disarm the public, which is the real objective.

I used to think that Democrats were just plain stupid. They are not. They are clever and cunning.

"D" stands for Democrat, Dishonest, Devious and Deceitful

If it is hidden ,how would anyone know? And to search would that not require a search warrant ? And exactly what would you be doing other than robbing a bank to get that level of attention? Or just tell them you just crossed the border and wanted sanctuary and they will send you on a fancy vacation all expenses paid by the folks already
here ! /Ed
Say you stop at a restaurant wearing your hunting clothes, or you have a deer strapped to your vehicle. Probable cause for a search

The Governor is drunk with power and out of control. The only reason she let the COVID restrictions expire this week is because the Govenor's election race is a little more competitive than they expected.
Yet she is still keeping her emergency powers

Once again the brilliant Dems put the cart before the horse. Under the new law, purchasers of semi automatic unmentionables must obtain a "license". However no such license currently exists and the State police are clueless.
A hard case that will fit a 38" or longer barrel rifle, costs as much or more than a lot of rifles

So your saying if my Father visits me here in NC and buys a box of 9mm ammo NY plans on making that illegal?

Only when he gets stopped returning to Ny they would ask for a receipt or where is his 9mm handgun. State Police did that in 2012-2013 at VT border. Gun shops in VT would report evil black gun purchases and buyers would be met at the border coming back to NY (SAFE ACT) and that is IF NY resident can buy ammo in another state many require a FID like MASS and they wont sell to NY residents Ive tried

When I lived in NY, I had a 9mm carbine. I bought 9mm ammo without a pistol permit. I simply told the clerk it was for a rifle (which it was.)

I'm in Maine now, bought an unmentionable pistol at a show with just a background check. Maine truly is The Way Life Should Be.

Go into walmart try to buy .223 for a bolt action can't be done atleast at the two within 15 miles of me because it's assault ammo along with 7.62 x 39 I've been denied by Brownell and Midway and have only found 6 places that will ship to a residence even some dealers won't ship ML to a residence only to a FFL Some places won't ship parts to Ny

I've lived in Free America, Appalachia, for the past 30 years, but I grew up in western NY, half way between Chautauqua Lake and Lake Perfidy. You have to be from my generation or earlier, and a fan of Johnny Cash to connect those dots.

I remember a time when the only thing the Empire worried about at all was if you had a permit to conceal that pistol when off your own property. We all had long guns on gun racks in our pickup trucks out in the parking lot at high-school. It was just how us farm boys did things back then, and not a soul cared, because it wasn't even on the radar back then.

Fast forward to present day. 3 years ago here in Virginia we found ourselves being lorded over by the legislative houses and the governor's mansion full of raving lunatic leftists. They did their level best to write up every stinking anti gun law they could and were fully determined to ram them down our throats at any cost.

Here's how that went. There developed a statewide grassroots movement county by county to declare each county a Second Amendment Sanctuary. It started with one county here near me that flipped a double bird at Richmond and said no way, y'all can suck it, and it snowballed from there.

It took a little time, but 93 out of 95 counties declared some form of 2A Sanctuary. There was even a huge protest march on Richmond right up to the capitol building by at least 100,000 people. Most, we're armed and exercising their 2A rights.

The leftists laughed it off, but the full weight and measure of it all was, each county board of supervisors, and each Sheriff's dept (in Virginia the Sheriff has the highest authority of law enforcement over his county) declaring that under no circumstances would they enforce any unconstitutional laws passed by the state. These declarations were put in writing as resolutions and cannot be ignored by future boards or Sheriffs.

To boil it down, we the people of each of those 93 counties, and several large municipalities as well, with the full support of our local elected officials told Richmond go ahead, pass your damn laws, but don't come in our county expecting to enforce them, cause it ain't happening.

The leftists didn't get their laws passed because enough people raised enough hell, and there wasn't enough votes to pass any of it. We stood up, we took them on, and we won the fight.

I read a thread like this one and I just shake my head. NYers can't, or won't stand up to their government. Instead they just keep their heads down and try to figure a way to live with the laws. It's a damn shame, it really is. And don't tell me well it's NYC. Bull, Virginia has the same political dynamic with NOVA and all the DC leftists living just across the river in Virginia. Isn't any different between all that heavy blue population up there and our sparse red population out here in the mountains and farms.

And really, the only thing I miss about NY now days is the steelhead fishing in Chautauqua Creek........

Spending all of my life in NJ Part of it living in Sussex County nothing has ever been done by any Democratic Lawmaker to uphold or strengthen anything regarding 2 A rights. A never ending bunch of hurdles to jump through, for Retailers as well. recently they wanted to pass a Law that required you to store your gun separate from ammo both locked up....IN YOUR HOME! NOW THE GOVERNMENT IS IN YOUR HOME! INSANITY! that can only be brought on by the most ignorant of Voter Bases. However.....you can smoke all the dope you want to now....bailed out and left for a free State like many others. Years ago I said some States are going to splinter of into pseudo communist regimes......
I am 75. When I was a child we had a place, not much more than a shack, on the west shore of the Great Bay in NJ. It was a paradise. I was out and in or on the water pretty much dawn til dark. Fished. Crabbed. Watched living things. Poked around the marshes. Once found a corpse with crabs eating the eyes.
That was in the 50's. Now NJ is a place I do not set foot in. What is it about certain coastal states? Think CA, OR, WA, NY, CT, NJ, MD. Something in the seawater?

This is only a first step. Here is an explanation of the longer term plan to ban concealed carry in NYS.

After watching I have no sympathy what so ever.

Where has all the outrage and fight for what's right been all this time?!

NY residents have let the liberal Democrats slowly take complete control of NY state for many decades now, what's happening is just the current day result of said passivity.

It's too late, as the guy in the video states, the Dem's OWN all NY state judgeships, with 'uncle Joe' and the Dems in power you can forget about finding an impartial ear of authority to overrule the lower court rulings.

Take the present condition of NYC, the deadly, crime ridden cesspool, not that far off from the fictional movie John Carpenter illustrated in Escape From New York.

Not one single New York Democrat politician gives two ****'s about the people in their state, nor do they care about those who voted them in, all they care about is staying in power 'for life' and lining their pockets with as much money as they can steal from the tax payers as AOC did but was never held accountable for.

Mayor Giuliani cleaned up the city, the Dem's brought it all back, worse than it was ever was, even more so than the 1970's.

They don't care what they try to pass knowing it's immoral or unconstitutional, they don't even hide the fact that their policies are completely socialist/Communist.

It's become second to California in being a socialist utopia.

NY... is finished...

Grew up in Jamestown, NY. It wasn't too bad then in the 50's and 60's. It has gotten progressively worse. After my Mom and Dad passed a few years ago there is no reason to set foot in the place anymore.
Chautauqua County pays the highest rate of welfare in the state. It has been over run by people that don't believe in a work ethic and the crime rate has skyrocketed. Sad to see.
