I order real BP once a year or so at the same time im getting smokeless, usually going in with a buddy so $45 in shipping etc averages out to a couple of bucks per pound

On the other hand there is a big difference between dropping $300+ at once vs 35-40 every so often especially on a low or fixed income

I have no problem getting Swiss & Schuetzen black powder for my flint guns by driving a little over an hour away. I prefer to load my percussion revolvers, which I shoot the most lately, with 777 because of the easier cleanup and my wife does not complain if I use the utility sink in the laundry room to do the cleaning. She cannot stand the sulfurous smell in there with black powder, so I have to clean outside when shooting with it. No complaints when I use that sink to clean 777. Swiss is running $39.99 lb. and Schuetzen $26.99 & 777 is $35 where I buy.
