Tests on modern bullets show that blemishes on the base will affect way more on accuracy than blemishes on the nose.

putting the so-called blemish of the sprue on the bottom or base would do more seem to do harm on accuracy.

Question are you super-human? Able to see where the spue is down out of sight?
