Hey all,
A question ref a .380” Lyman RB mold I just received. It has a very thin coat of wax applied to it as a rust preventative. It looks lightly used and from the paperwork in the box it came with is probably from the 1960s. Do I need to remove the wax or can I simply begin casting and it will melt away? it’s a very, very thin waxy coating.
Is this an old-school method of rust preventative from back in the day?
