Swords like these were purchased from France to meet the needs of the American forces during the Revolution. The hilt of this sword is an older reproduction from the 1970's cast as one piece. The blade and scabbard are brand new from G.G. Godwin. The blade is 26 1/2" long matching the length of swords that were purchased from France to equip Virginia troops. Many of those swords ended up being issued to the Virginia Militia. The hilt is 5" long and is secured by a pommel screw. Included is the leather sword carriage shown in the photos and shipping in the continental US.

Reproduction model 1767 hangers are rare as hens teeth. Be the only kid on the block who has one!
