Yeah no doubt! Some of the springs on them are super clunky. 😮

I have a Pedersoli SLP Bess, and the previous owner changed the sideplate over to a rounded style to more resemble the LLP Bess, and had the lock engraving changed from "Grice 1762" to "Grice 1752". ☺

LD

That’s an interesting idea With the engravings and side plate.

I’m bidding on a few Bess’s right now, gona give It to Dave Stalvo to remark Tower And take the pedersoli markings off the barrel.

I was surprised to see a brand new pedersoli kit is now $1300

I don't want to tick off Zonie with the whole India-made mess but since it does apply to the Roger's Ranger's carbine post here I really did like the looks of the 1748 Artillery Carbine offered by Veteran Arms which to me, seems to be the right dimensions for a more accurate presentation of what COULD have been used by the Ranger's.

Based on what Loyalist Dave and Flinter Nick have mentioned I might just go ahead and take the plunge later this spring and buy one, although I sure would love to have one in curly maple.

Right now I have an offer by another forum member to buy his Pedersoli carbine so I'm satisfied for now.

Thanks brudda,
It's a beauty, but fortunately one if the other members made me a great deal on his so I'll be going that route.

Beautiful carbine though, I'm sure somebody will snatch it up before long.
